Our Trust Claims Specialist, Jerri Waller, began her career in the legal field at age 16 through a high school work program, working for the original Provost Umphrey Law Firm. After graduating high school, her career path led her to positions in both defense and prosecution. In 1980, Jerri enrolled in the first Paralegal program in Jefferson County, Texas, at Lamar University in Beaumont, where she earned her certificate of graduation in 1982.

With over 15 years of experience as an Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust Specialist, Jerri joined the Halpern Law Firm in July 2024, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in investigation, trial preparation, testimony, and case resolution. Her extensive background and professionalism have helped her build strong relationships with clients, co-workers, attorneys, and judges alike.

Jerri is deeply proud of her Cajun heritage and has long been involved with Southeast Texas Mardi Gras, where she belongs to two Krewes and enjoys celebrating each year. Equally passionate about giving back to her community, she is an original member of Southeast Texas Circle of Hope, a 501(c) organization dedicated to supporting individuals facing catastrophic medical expenses.

Jerri and her husband love spending time with their daughter and son-in-law and especially enjoy spoiling their only grandson. They share a love for cruising and spending weekends at their lake home with their two fur babies, Macie Mae and Bella Rose.
