The Halpern Spotlight shines on a different Halpern Law team member each month. This month’s Halpern Spotlight is on attorney Daniel Liberio!
About Daniel
Daniel is from Lansdale, PA and attended West Virginia University and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. He likes spending time with his friends and family playing basketball and pickleball. His time at Halpern recently hit the 1-year mark!
Experience
When asked about his prior legal experience, Daniel had an impressive history. He interned at The Policy Surveillance Program of the Center for Public Health Law Research as a law and policy analyst. He explains that in his position he “conducted various epidemiological research across all U.S. jurisdictions concerning the access and supply of various medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Daniel’s legal journey continues as he worked as a certified legal intern at the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He says, “I was before magisterial district court judges handling a variety of cases at preliminary hearings, where I would argue on the behalf of the Commonwealth to ensure matters were held for trial.”
Before beginning his work with the Halpern Law Firm, Daniel speaks on his time as a summer associate at Hark & Hark Law Firm: “I engaged in legal research, brief writing, and appeals on a daily basis.”
Daniel’s extensive work in the legal field makes him an incredible attorney for clients.
“Being able to help them is the best feeling in the world!”
When asked about the relationships he has with the clients he represents, Daniel says they are ones he will never forget. He says, “You come across every type of person, from automotive mechanics of 40+ years at a 10-person business to managers of well-known steel mills that employed thousands.” The connections that Daniel makes with clients go beyond a typical attorney-client relationship: “I have had the opportunity to not only represent, but become friends with, the individuals who need our help the most.”
Daniel is passionate about bringing justice to those who come to him for representation. He continues, stating “it is truly a blessing to be able to form bonds and relationships with individuals who have been diagnosed with a horrible disease that they contracted from merely doing their job. Being able to help them is the best feeling in the world!”
While speaking with him, it was apparent how much Daniel cares about clients. His legal knowledge coupled with his genuine drive to help others makes him an incredible attorney. He speaks on the fulfilling aspects of his job, saying “the most fulfilling part of my job in representing plaintiffs in asbestos litigation is seeing just how helpful and important the results of the work we do are for our clients and their families. At the end of the day, seeing their faces brighten at the results we provide, despite navigating the most difficult times in their lives, is the best part of my job.”
