William Cox, Esq.

William Cox is dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by asbestos-related diseases navigate the legal process, and earn the compensation they deserve. Before joining the Halpern Law Firm, William spent years advocating for vulnerable communities, including tenants facing housing discrimination. This work has sharpened his commitment to justice and shaped his client-centered approach.
William is a 2019 graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. He earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2016, where he double majored in Political Science and Mathematical Economics.

Prior to joining the firm, William worked in both nonprofit and private practice settings, gaining experience in civil litigation and client advocacy. He represented individuals in state and federal courts and developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and courtroom practice.
While in law school, William served as Authorities Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and was captain of the Mock Trial Traveling Team. He also earned multiple academic honors and participated in national trial competitions.
